Inside Super Restorations: 13 years with the same toolbox
Faidon runs Super Restorations out of a workshop in Marrickville, in Sydney's Inner West. He restores, customises and fabricates classic cars and motorcycles, the kind of work where a rushed job shows up ten years later as rust or a bad weld. His approach is built on doing it properly the first time, with a transparent, collaborative process from the first conversation to the final handover.
We recently visited the workshop, to check out what he's been building, and get his take on roll cabinet toolbox after more than a decade in the trade.

The 13yr Old Toolbox
Before Super Restorations was ever a name we worked with on socials, Faidon was already a customer. Thirteen years ago he bought a Maxim 42" roll cabinet, long before Just Pro Tools had any kind of relationship with him beyond that sale.
That roll cabinet is still in the workshop today, drawers still run smooth, still holds its own after over a decade of daily use in a working restoration shop. That's what makes this partnership work! Faidon isn't backing us because we asked him to. He's backing us because he bought the gear himself, used it for 13 years, and it has never let him down..

The Workshop Tour
We spent the morning with Faidon in his space space, looking at what's on the bench and what's mid-build. Classic cars in various stages of strip-down, vintage motorcycles and panels laid out for rust repair. Every job is different, which means which means he has to be efficient with his setup.
Since that first 42" roll cabinet, Faidon has upgraded to a 54" roll cabinet as his day-to-day base, and built out the rest of the workshop with our garage storage range. Plus he has purchased some heavy duty racking for larger stock. For all this storage he also has a range of tool organisation racks, trays and sets to keep sockets and specialty tools sorted and organised.
As he uses our products every day we were curious to know what he loves about our products. The main thing he said he loved was the "quality of the products". The gear holds up under real use, not showroom use. Drawers that don't sag under a full load of tools. Our racking can take the weight of parts and panels without flexing. Storage that's organised enough that he's not hunting for a socket mid-job when working on a job.
For a workshop where every vehicle is someone's pride and joy, and every job is one-off, having a system that just works in the background matters. That's what's kept Faidon on the same setup for 13 years, and what's had him expanding it ever since.

A massive thank you to Faidon for not only taking the time for us to visit his showroom but backing our products at Just Pro Tools.
